Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia hosted on 19 December 2019 a Conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Consortium of Russian Universities implementing the joint Master’s Program “International Protection of Human Rights”.

Advanced training courses (with elements of distance learning) for professors of the partner universities of the Consortium were held on 25 and 26 November 2019 at RUDN University

On 15 November 2019 Head of the Department of International Law, Honoured Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Doctor habilitatus (Law), Professor Aslan Khuseynovich Abashidze gave a lecture in English on the topic: “Human Rights Dimension of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.

A lecture courses for students of the Master’s Program “International Protection of Human Rights” were launched on 23 October at the Office of the Ombudsman in the Russian Federation.

The VII Summer School on Human Rights “Protection of human rights – the basis for achieving sustainable development goals in the 21st century” was held in Perm on 24-28 June 2019.

A thesis defence of the students of the Master's program “International Protection of Human Rights” took place on 13 June 2019 at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.

On 3, 4 and 5 December 2018 the Scientific Institute for Globalization and Human Rights ANO organized advanced training courses for professors from partner universities of the Consortium, jointly implementing the Master’s Program in human rights, on the topic “Current issues of international protection of human rights”.

On 8 November 2018 the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia hosted an open lecture by Georgette Gagnon, Head of the Department for Field Missions and Technical Cooperation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, on the topic “70 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights”
