VII Annual International Conference "The Correlation of International and National Law: Issues of Theory and Practice"

On December 9–10, 2021, the Department of International and European Law of the Ural State Law University, with the participation of the editors of the Russian Legal Journal, is holding the VII annual international conference in memory of Gennady Vladimirovich Ignatenko “The Correlation of International and National Law: Issues of Theory and Practice”.

For the conference, the organizers offer a scheme of speeches and discussions “peeped” by European colleagues. 3 thematic blocks have been selected: each of them has a title speaker and his opponent, who, with the participation of a moderator, present to the audience one or more problems of international law. After the presentations of the speaker and the opponent, the moderator invites the audience for a comprehensive discussion of the issues raised.

A cross-cutting problem for all blocs is the coexistence of man and the state in international law. Starting with applied issues of the implementation of the right to respect for private life and freedom of expression in the 1st thematic block, in the 2nd block we continue to consider and correlate human rights mechanisms at the universal and regional levels. We conclude in the 3rd block with a discussion of the development of international law for a person - with and without the state.

The conference is held in a mixed format: at the Center for International and European Law (Ekaterinburg, Kolmogorova street, 54, room 113) and on the Google Meet platform (link: https://meet.google.com/tkq-jyue-kyu). We invite all those interested in international law to join an open scientific discussion at the conference site.
