This is Russia's first master's program for the training of specialists in the field of human rights protection, functioning with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Today, the program is implemented by nine universities that are members of the Consortium from five regions of Russia.

The training of masters in the field of human rights protection has been held on the basis of the Faculty of Law of the Classical University since 2014.

At a meeting with students, the Commissioner for Human Rights spoke about his activities and cooperation with other departments to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, for example, on hotlines, joint visits to institutions and receptions of citizens.

Yulia Vasilyeva, Head of the Department of Labor and International Law of the Law Faculty of the Perm State National Research University, spoke about the features of the master's program. Students have the opportunity to take part in lectures by leading experts and human rights activists, as well as in the annual Summer Schools.

Igor Sapko expressed interest in cooperating with undergraduates and invited them to jointly conduct human rights lessons in schools in Perm, lawmaking and participate in the competition of scientific papers, which is held annually by the regional ombudsman.< /p>
