Tamara Viktorovna Shashikhina

Born on 8 October 1974 in Moscow, in the family of a diplomat.

From 1991 to 1996 studied at the International Law Faculty of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Russia.

She worked as a translator at ITAR TASS, whilst studying at the institute.

From 1996 to 1999 postgraduate student of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Russia.

From 1999 to the present she is a senior lecturer at the Department of European Law, MGIMO of the MFA of Russia.

From 2004 to 2007 – Deputy Director of the Institute of European Law, MGIMO of the MFA of Russia.

From 2007 to 2014 – Director of the Institute of European Law, MGIMO of the MFA of Russia.

From 2012 to the present – Director of the European Training Institute MGIMO of the MFA of Russia.

From 2014 to the present, she has is a Deputy Chairman of the International Cooperation Commission of the Russian Bar Association.

From 2014 to the present – an expert of the Anti-Corruption Academic Initiative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

From 2015 to the present – a member of the Commission on Compliance with the Requirements for Official Conduct of Federal State Civil Servants of the Office of the Federal Treasury and Settlement of Conflicts of Interest.

From 2015 to the present – a member of the Attestation Commission of the Federal Treasury Department.

From 2015 to the present – a member of the Tender Commissions of the Federal Treasury Department.

From 2015 to the present she represents the rector of MGIMO Torkunov A.V. in the bureau of the Interdisciplinary Council for coordination of scientific and educational-methodological support for combating corruption.

From April 2016 to the present – member of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations Commission for Combating (Preventing) Corruption.

She supervises preparation and conduct of annual training courses for civil servants and judges, including on the issues of human rights protection (from 2008 to the present, together with the Council of Europe) and combating corruption and money laundering (from 2010 to the present, together with the Council of Europe).

In April 2016 Shashikhina T.V. took part in the second meeting of the ACAG expert group in Doha, Qatar. As a result of negotiations with representatives of the UNODC, it was decided that the work on translation into Russian and adaptation of the UNODC Model Course on Combating Corruption will be carried out on the basis of MGIMO, established at the ETI under the leadership of Shashikhina T.V.

Shashikhina T.V. possesses certificates of professional development, i.a. on issues related to the activities of the European Court of Human Rights and the execution of its judgments (2014), land law and real estate transactions (2015) and anti-corruption (2014, 2015).

Shashikhina T.V. possesses governmental awards and gratitude, and is also the author of a large number of scientific publications.

Position: Specialist in educational and methodical work of the 1st category of the European Training Institute of MGIMO of the MFA of Russia.

She graduated with a bachelor's degree with distinction from the International Law Faculty of MGIMO in 2013. In 2015, she graduated with distinction from the MGIMO master's program in the field of International and EU Law. Foreign languages: French, English, Spanish, Turkish.

2013 – 2014 – Assistant at the Department of EU Economics of the European Training Institute of MGIMO.

2014 – present – specialist in educational and methodical work of the 2nd category of the European Training Institute of MGIMO.

2015 – present – Lecturer at the Department of French at MGIMO; teaches French.

2018 – present – Member of the Youth Russian-Singapore Business Council.
