On October 18, a public lecture was held at the House of Human Rights for students of the Master's program "International Protection of Human Rights", which was delivered by the head of the working apparatus on behalf of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Vladimir Lozbinev.

In particular, he noted that this educational program has been supported by the federal ombudsman for the eighth year already, and today its importance is becoming invaluable, as there is an increase in political tension, discrimination against our compatriots abroad and weakening of international human rights mechanisms.

In addition, Vladimir Lozbinev told the students about the main areas of activity of the Institute of Plenipotentiaries in the Russian Federation, as well as about the history of its formation and current tasks facing it, taking into account new challenges and threats.

At the end of the lecture, a conversation took place, in which students actively participated: Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, University. O.E. Kutafin (MGYuA), RANEPA, RGUP, MGPU, MSGU, RPA of the Ministry of Justice of Russia.

Young people were interested in issues related to mobilization and the development of human rights in the context of digitalization. They also asked about the system of interaction between the Commissioner and the new subjects of the Russian Federation, with the Ombudsmen of foreign states and about work in the international space.

About 200 people from the capital's universities and 34 students from the Ural Federal University named after V.I. B. N. Yeltsin, Yekaterinburg Humanitarian University and Ural State Law University.

The International Human Rights Advocacy Master's Program takes place annually. It was created with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. The program is the only one of its kind in Russia and is implemented within the framework of the Consortium of the country's leading universities, which in recent years has united 9 universities from different regions of the country.
