March 23, 2023 as part of the events dedicated to the Day of the Faculty of Law. MM. Speransky, with an open lecture on the topic "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 75 years - the path to strengthening the ecosystem in the field of human rights", organized by the Department of International and Integration Law, Rashid Aluash, Head of the Program Office of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russian Federation, candidate of legal sciences, well-known specialist in education in the field of human rights.

In his lecture, R. Aluash told the audience about the significance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 for the establishment and development of a universal system for the protection of human rights, taking into account the results of international conferences on human rights held in Tehran (1968) and Vienna (1993), as well as in the context of modern challenges.

The speaker paid special attention to the relationship between the Universal Declaration and international human rights treaties, to which the Russian Federation is also a party. In his speech, R. Aluash explained the nature of the international obligations of states in the field of human rights, as well as the importance of international cooperation, emphasizing the leading role in this process of states as the main subjects of international law. In addition, the lecture focused on the universality and indivisibility of human rights, which is of great importance for the full implementation of human rights in national legal systems.

Following the open lecture, a lively discussion took place.
