Interuniversity Resource Centre for Human Rights

An Interuniversity Resource Centre for Human Rights was created on the basis of the Department of International Law of the RUDN University with support of the UN OHCHR, which is a venue for practical training and a library, featuring a unique collection of literature covering all branches of international law in Russian, English, and French. The Resource Centre also serves as a venue for round tables and trainings, online broadcasting of lectures by invited professors at partner universities of the Consortium.

Postgraduates and students of the Department of International Law of the RUDN University can use the materials of the Resource Centre on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 16.00 to 18.00. To this end, the assistant of the Resource Centre should be informed of the visit a day prior to it on which of the materials available in the Resource Centre are needed (no more than 5).

Resource Centre of the UrSLU

The Centre operates at the Department of International and European Law of the UrSLU, carrying out the research activities of the department.

The Centre houses a library that contains over 100 books on international law, European law, private international law, international economic law, international environmental law, international human rights law, international humanitarian law, international criminal law, etc. All books and periodicals of the Centre are included in the electronic catalogue of the Ural State Law University.

The Centre acts as the University Consortium’s resource centre for the implementation of the master's program “International Protection of Human Rights” in the Ural region. The Resource Centre was established in November 2015 with the support of the representative office of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Yekaterinburg and partner universities. Through to the resource support of the Consortium, the Centre was equipped with a video conferencing system, office equipment, books and necessary furniture were purchased.

Broadcasts of lectures from partner universities and the Office of the Ombudsman in the Russian Federation are organized, practical classes on the courses read within the program are held, scientific events for master’s students are organized on the platform of the Resource Centre. In addition, a legal clinic finds its place in the Centre, within the framework of which the practice of Ural State Law University master’s students, studying within the “International Protection of Human Rights” program, takes place.

The Resource Centre concentrates unique scientific literature on the international protection of human rights in Russian and English, contains documents and materials of international intergovernmental organizations, including the UN, ILO, Council of Europe, EU, etc., as well as working programs and training manuals prepared within the framework of the Consortium.

The Consortium's Resource Centre at KFU serves as a venue for round tables and trainings, online broadcasts of lectures by invited professors; equipment for video conferencing was installed here with the support of UNHCHR.

Classes for master’s students, enrolled in the International Protection of Human Rights program, are held here.

At the Department of Labor and International Law of Perm State National Research University, with the support of the UN OHCHR, there is a Human Rights Resource Center. The resource center serves as a venue for training sessions, preparation for various international law competitions, including model trials, various trainings, and meetings with experts on human rights issues.

In the center there is a library containing literature, international legal acts and documents of international organizations.

Students of the Master's program in the field of “International Protection of Human Rights” can use the library in free access.
