Opening of the Master’s Program “International Protection of Human Rights”

The event was attended by students from Moscow State Law Academy, RUDN, Russian State University for the Humanities, RANEPA, Moscow State Pedagogical University, RusNU, RAFT. In addition, students of the Ural Federal University of the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, the Liberal Arts University of Yekaterinburg and the Ural State Law University.

The participants of the lecture hall were greeted by the federal Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova. The Ombudswoman gave the students a lecture on the establishment of the institute of a state human rights champion as part of the first lesson, and spoke about the main directions of the Ombudsman’s activities as well, paying special attention to working with citizens’ appeals. At the end of the lecture, Tatyana Moskalkova answered numerous questions from students.

In the second part of the event, the advisor to the Ombudswoman, Vyacheslav Tolmachev, spoke to the students, who informed future lawyers about the activities of the federal Ombudswoman and her office in the field of international cooperation.

The lecture courses will run until April 2020. As part of the course, the staff of the Office of the Ombudsman will organize lectures and workshops for participants, master classes, seminars, round tables and excursions.
