Professor Aslan Abashidze gave a lecture in English on "Human Rights Dimension of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
On 15 November 2019 Head of the Department of International Law, Honoured Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Doctor habilitatus (Law), Professor Aslan Khuseynovich Abashidze gave a lecture in English on the topic: “Human Rights Dimension of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The lecture touched on the historical aspect of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), their correlation with human rights, presented an analysis of the activities of states to achieve them. The lecture was attended by students of the master's program “International Protection of Human Rights” from Moscow, as well as students from Perm, Kazan and Yekaterinburg (via online broadcast). Professor Abashidze answered audience’s questions following the lecture.
