The annual School was organized by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk Region, the Association of Law Teachers of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Faculty of Law of the Humanitarian University, and participants in the project "School of Human Rights and Civic Education". The Summer School was attended by teachers from such municipalities as Yekaterinburg, Krasnoufimsk, Shalya, Verkhniye Sergi, etc.

The School's program consisted of two parts, taking into account the interests of teachers. The program of the Summer School included a meeting with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk region T.G. Merzlyakova (July 5), a seminar on the protection of teachers' labour rights (July 5-6), a seminar on novelties in Russian family and civil law (July 18), a seminar on new approaches to teaching law (July 18), a workshop for lawyers of the Sverdlovsk regional guild of lawyers (July 19), and a seminar on civic education (July 19).
Lecturers at the Summer School were professors from the Faculty of Law of the Humanitarian University (A.Y. Marakulin, V.M. Tanayev, S.I. Glushkova), as well as Moscow experts in working with teachers V.Lukhovitsky and Y.Varlamov, etc.

New events were also announced at the School for schoolchildren and teachers, many of which have been held annually since 2005 by the Law Faculty (Dean A.P. Semitko) and the Center for Legal Education and Human Rights of the Humanitarian University (Director S.I. Glushkova) together with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk region within the framework of the public regional program of legal education of children, youth and teachers of the region.
Along with lectures, seminars and workshops, the teachers were able to get legal consultations at the School, as well as answers to questions from colleagues and friends.
